The Contract & Financial Security
The following booking conditions form the basis of your contract with Hotel America Limited, whose registered office is 7 Bridge Road Business Park, Bridge Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 1TX, and the contract will be effective once payment has been received for a confirmed booking.
Important Note: When you collect you vehicle you will sign a Rental Agreement with Hertz, and the terms of this agreement cannot be waived or amended by Hotel America Limited.
ALL INCLUSIVE PRICES INCLUDE:
- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) - without this the renter is responsible for any loss or damage up to the full value of the vehicle. In N.York State the renter is still liable for the first $100.
- Liability Insurance Supplement(LIS) - normal third party liability is the maximum limits required by state law, e.g. $20,000 per accident in Florida. The LIS we have included provides up to $1million for claims made against the renter related to third party injury/death and property damage. LIS also includes cover for Uninsured|Underinsured motorists up to $100,000 per occurrence.
- Also included: - unlimited mileage, all local and state taxes, airport fees and charges.
- Note: - any extra charges agreed to by the renter when collecting the vehicle, e.g extra rental days, car upgrades or optional equipment will be charged by Hertz direct to the renter at the prevailing local market rate. Hotel America Limited cannot accept responsibility for these charges.
HERTZ XTRA PRICES INCLUDE:
- As per All Inclusive prices plus up to 3 additional drivers and a tank of petrol
NOT INCLUDED:
- Fuel - A full tank of petrol is provided and must be paid for at pick up. No refund on remaining petrol (except Hertz XTRA - petrol included)
- Additional driver charges - which are currently $7 per day, payable locally, except in California where there are currently no charges for extra drivers and Nevada where there is currently no charge for the first extra driver (subject to change). Hertz XTRA includes up to 3 extra drivers at no extra local charge.
- Child seats (usually under 4 yrs) - are required by law in most states, and these must be requested in advance. The charges vary and can be confirmed at the time of reservation. These are normally around $5 per day payable locally.
- Optional equipment - (ski racks, cellular phones, Hertz NeverLost navigation) availability and rates vary by location.
- One way drop off charges - One way rentals must be requested at the time of booking and are not possible to all Hertz locations. Drop charges are; 0-250 miles - $50, 251-500 Miles - $100, 501-1500 miles - $300, 1501-Plus miles - $500 except:

One way rentals are not permitted for car group A and certain speciality vehicles.
- Passenger Accident Insurance(PAI), and Personal Effects Cover(PEC) - these are optional and are not normally necessary with most Travel Insurance policies.
- Taxes on additional charges
Reservations
Cars are reserved by category only and not by specific make, model or engine size. Similar or larger cars may be substituted. Minimum rental period is one day. If a car is collected at e.g. 2.00pm, then it must be returned before 2.00pm on the due date, or a charge will be made at the applicable local daily rate. No one rental can exceed 56 days.
Driving Areas
Cars can be driven from the USA into Canada, but must be returned to the USA , unless a one way drop has been reserved and charges are;
Boston-Toronto - $150, Seattle-Vancouver - $100, Seattle - Calgary - $175. Cars may not be driven into Mexico.
Driver Requirements
The minimum age for all drivers is 25. ALL DRIVERS must present the Rental Voucher, a valid driving licence from their country of origin (if not in English then an International permit should also be presented) a return airline ticket, a passport and the RENTER must also present a major credit card or pay a cash deposit of $300. An International Driving Permit on its own is not acceptable.
Amendments and Cancellations
Amendments and cancellations are charged at £35 up to the day before pick up. Once commenced there are NO REFUNDS for part used rentals.
